Canada's Federal Debt is so small compared to the rest of the world that Canada has become the investment country of choice for many. Though Canada has had its largest federal deficit for two years in a row, it is minuscule in comparison to the rest of the world.
As is the typical scenario that we experience even on a personal level, when you are not looking for money, people want to give it to you. So is the situation that Canada finds itself in. Investors are clamoring to put their money into Canadian financial opportunities.
While Canada is coming out of the recession faster than any of its counterparts, it seems to be a sound strategy. The Canadian government is on track to slash its deficit and that makes it even more attractive.
